If your school-aged child (including teenagers) is eligible under the IDEA, you will not have to pay for any materials, equipment, services, or other assistance for which you qualify. The initial evaluation and any re-evaluations are also provided at no cost. (If the school district does not believe that an initial evaluation is warranted, however, you may have to agree to pay this assessment yourself.)
